Roda

Roda is in the municipality of San Javier just a few minutes drive from the Mar Menor slightly inland between San Pedro del Pinatar and Los Alcázares.

Roda is what you might call ‘real Spain’ – still very traditionally Spanish and very much a farming community famed for the production of delicious citrus fruits and vegetables.

Roda is named after the important Roda families who apparently still have close ties with King Juan Carlos and Prince Felipe. The remains of a 15th Century fortress can be seen and some preserved pavements and wall from all those centuries ago.

Not surprising that Roda Golf & Country club has been developed in the heart of this beautiful countryside – having the best of all worlds – right near the coast of the Mar Menor, near the airport, and an 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Dave Thomas.

The complex is integrated into a beautiful natural setting and the quality of the homes and the peace and quiet that it offers are enjoyed by all.
