Murcia
The
region of Murcia lies in the south-east of Spain bordering
Andalucia, Castilla-La Mancha and Valencia province. It has
a 170 kilometre coastline, 50 kilometre of which run along
the Mar Menor Temperatures are typically Mediterranean; winters
are mild and summers very warm. The fertile plains of the
River Segura, is close to the city and beyond there is wonderful
landscape, which has been thoughtfully developed to provide
some wonderful residential resorts, golf clubs and country
clubs , enabling new settlers to enjoy the countryside around
the city of Murcia.
Murcia remain a real Spanish City. The Plaza del Cardinal
Belluga lies directly in front of the great cathedral and
next to the squares of the Apostles and Plaza de la Crux (The
square of the cross). Here at the very heart of the old city
nothing could be finer than to sit beneath the many orange
trees in the Plaza and just watch the world go by. You can
chose from any number of typically Spanish bars and cafes
around the cathedral – you be amazed how much time will
pass by without you even noticing.
When you’re ready for a stroll, visit the Plaza de
las Flores bedecked with multi-coloured geraniums it’s
an oasis of peace and tranquility.
If you like to shop Murcia is the place for you, with its
sophisticated department stores and quaint lanes full of chic
boutiques.
Murcia – San Javier Airport is on the edge of the Mar
Menor near the towns of San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera,
45 km southeast of Murcia and about 30 minutes by car. A new
airport is being built at Corvera just 15 minutes drive from
Murcia and Alicante is about 45 minutes drive
There are many new resorts surrounding Murcia and these are
particularly attractive to investors. It’s an up and
coming area so the return on capital invested is very high.
