Almoradi
The
well-established town of Almoradi is located in the Comarca
of Vega Baja del Segura in the province of Alicante, close
to the mouth of the river Segura.
According to the 2005 census, it has a total population of
17,033 inhabitants and contains a good selection of shops,
restaurants & other facilities in addition to government
managed amenities such as schools, medical facilities, library
and general public amenities plus a really good municipal
swimming pool.
Almoradi is no more than a 20 minute drive from a good selection
of golf courses; with La Finca & la Marquesa clubs significantly
closer.
The economy of Almoradí has historically been mainly
based on agriculture, find crops are grown here and used for
local consumption and export.
There are many fiestas throughout Almoradi's calendar, some
of which are a real spectacle & well worth a look, as
is a visit to the Saturday market.
There is a good mixture of new and traditional style properties
in and around Almoradi and it’s a popular inland residential
town because of its easy access routes to the beaches at Guardamar,
the beautiful city of Murcia and the airport at Alicante.
